About Jessica Jessica began her fitness career as a Pilates instructor in San Francisco in 2014 after working as a professional dancer, pole artist and actor fortenyears. While specializing in serving post-rehab clients, Jess developed a fundamental belief in the healing power of movement, and she went on to earn certifications in personal training as well as NASM corrective exercise. Later, after witnessing a lack of inclusivity in the studios where she worked, Jessica opened Gilded Studio in Boston's South End to provide a safe, welcoming environment for all bodies to reduce pain, prevent injury, and, more importantly, have fun. In addition to being a certified personal trainer, Jessica is also a professional burlesque performer and drag king who is active in the Boston performance community.
About Jessica (yes, there are two of us)
During her conservatory training, Jessica quickly found a passion for dance and movement as self-expression. From there, she began working in gyms and creating programs for fitness kickboxing and bootcamp, discovering a love for strength training and cardio. She’s incorporated this into her favorite form of movement- pole dance- for the last several years. Jess likes to focus on incorporating powerful moves and form into fun, flowy foundational combos! Today Jess spends her time performing pole and burlesque as well as producing Queer nightlife events.
